Throughout June, as cases were rising in the US, we warned that The Bahamas needed more testing in order to reopen safely.
The government didn’t listen, and their July 1 re-opening was a disaster.
As cases skyrocketed quickly from 104 into the thousands, the government still had no plan. All they had were lockdowns and curfews.
The result? Businesses crushed, jobs lost, Bahamian families in pain.
They still haven’t learned. They’re still flip-flopping around, making rules that lack common sense, reacting instead of planning.
Our economic crisis is worse because of their leadership crisis.
It didn’t have to be THIS bad. #failednationalmovement
