In today’s episode of Figuring Out, we have Amitabh Kant in conversation with Raj Shamani. He is India’s G20 Sherpa and the former CEO of NITI Aayog. He is also the author of the book ‘Made in India’.
In this episode, we talked about what is the role of G20 Sherpa, is the craze of UPSC leading to fewer entrepreneurs in India and how can small businesses in India grow. We then talked about where our tax money is being utilized and how we are benefitting from it.
We also discussed where are the opportunities for our young entrepreneurs in the tourism sector and why India today has the lowest FDI rate compared to the last 16 years. He also shared the big opportunities for Indian entrepreneurs to scale their businesses and at what percentage should we grow to become a developed country.
Towards the end, we talked about how mudra loans are helping businesses, what were the perks that he received being the CEO of NITI Aayog. We ended our conversation by talking about the most developed state and also the incredible transformation in Indore over the last few years.
