In this video, I examine how Cameron Bertuzzi from @CapturingChristianity transforms a legitimate archaeological discovery at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre into supposed "proof" of the resurrection. While archaeologists found interesting evidence of a first-century garden with rock-cut tombs, Cameron inflates this into confirmation that John's Gospel provides eyewitness testimony—despite being written 70+ years after Jesus died. I break down his "six confirmations" to show how finding standard Palestinian agricultural remains (olive pits and grape seeds) somehow becomes evidence for supernatural claims. This is a perfect example of how Christian apologists misuse archaeology to support their theological agenda, doing a disservice to both legitimate scientific work and honest faith.
