as posted by the channelThe prisoner's song -- one of many -- American Civil War. Harmonica by me (Paul Hall). This is one of the early songs I learned on the harmonica in the early 1960's. Back in 1955 when my dad took us down to South Carolina to check out a job offer as the Protestant Chaplain at the Citadel Military College in Charleston he also bought for me my first harmonica, a C major Honer Marine Band. Charleston was actually, by the way, the place where the war started. It was the Citadel Cadets that fired the first shot of the war.
