RCP Washington Bureau Chief Carl Cannon offered this comment about how the White House press corps failed to cover President Biden's obviously diminishing health condition over the past couple of years, during a conversation with RCP contributor J. Peder Zane on Thursday's edition of the RealClearPolitics podcast.
"As far as I know (I could be mistaken, so correct me if I am), I do not think Kamala Harris has held a press conference to this day since she was chosen as the nominee," Cannon noted. "I think the question she was afraid of having to answer, that a tough, hard-boiled, ink-stained wretch like you or I would have asked her, was: 'Madam Vice President, are you sitting here telling the American people today that you learned something [at the Biden-Trump debate] on June 27 that you didn’t know before?' That’s a question, in whatever form, that she was never really asked."
