Celebrities such as Kodak Black and HoneyKomb Brazy complain about the harsh conditions in prison and the unfair treatment they receive. Is this customary among rappers that find themselves behind bars or is this just how the game goes. OG Percy gives his opinion on the matter. He suggests that many guards are accustomed to handling the inmates like slaves. They form a prejudice towards the prisoners and are trained to treat them accordingly. Many correctional officers have worked in these facilities for many decades, they see many of the inmates come and go as well. Even when a prisoner is released the correctional officer has to stay they are considered to “still be doing time.” Their mindset can be worse than most inmates. “The longer you are around the people you are around, you become like the people you are around.” The task they have becomes monotonous and they become dehumanized to the needs of the inmates.
