Milos Karavezic of the League of Communist Youth of Yugoslavia joins us on this episode of Reason2Resist to discuss the recent uprising that started in Serbia and that has spread across Croatia, Bosnia and Montenegro.

The protests in Serbia erupted after the collapse of a canopy in Novi Sad. The collapse killed 15 people. The resulting protests have spiralled into a larger movement after students also joined the protests against the neo-liberalization of education.

Countries of ex-Yugoslavia have been severely hit by EU policies and have been driven towards nationalism by the West.

Will the recent protests bring us closer to a Yugoslavian model of peaceful, worker-oriented co-existence and prosperity for all?
