5:09Now PlayingReasoned contributor Sarah Anntoinette reacts to the news that policing pro-Palestinian protests since the October 7th attack by Hamas in Israel has cost the taxpayer more than £20 million - £17 million for the Met to police demonstrations in London, alone.
An official review has said that pro-Palestine march organisers should be charged for policing their events due to the “great amount of police resource” being taken up by the demonstrations.
“Why is my money - why is your money - being used to foot the bill for demonstrations where so many of these protesters have displayed antisemitic, racist, terrorist-supporting behaviour?” asks Sarah.
