11:33Now PlayingAfter another violent Donald Trump rally, San Diego police arrested over 30 people, including a man they could soon be working with quite closely. Bryan Pease, a 1st amendment and animal rights attorney, is on the ballot Tuesday's California primary for San Diego City Attorney.
Pease attended the Trump rally to protect the free speech rights of fellow Californians and ended up getting swept up in a massive show of force by militarized law enforcement. He has since filed suit, saying he will waive fees for damages if the San Diego Police Department agrees to meaningful reforms to protect the First Amendment rights.
Pease is the only candidate out of 5 running in the June 7th primary to endorse Bernie Sanders (3 other Democrats have endorsed Hillary Clinton, the other is a Republican). The top 2 face off in November.
