It's a human tragedy, but the "Media Party" saw it as the perfect chance to push their anti-soldier, anti-war agenda.
Polls show that in this respect, the Canadian media is out of touch with ordinary citizens, who overwhelmingly support our armed forces.
The media reacted the same way after the RCMP released a video made by Parliament Hill terrorist Michael Zehaf-Bibeau. Journalists still refuse to take him at his word: That he considered himself a soldier of Allah.
