When I heard about the shooting outside the "Draw Mohammed" art exhibit in Garland, Texas, I immediately thought about the terror attack at the Ottawa War Memorial.
Back then, people tried to say that attack was motivated by anything but Islam. That will be harder for apologists to do with the Garland case. But that hasn't stopped the New York Times and others from trying.
