Macpherson says this will dump debt onto future generations of Albertans while raising taxes sooner or later. However, the former PC government also borrowed irresponsibly, and the NDP ran on a "change" platform. She says it is fine for the NDP to boast of restoring spending cuts to social services, but by borrowing to do so, they actually put those services in jeopardy in the future, when the bill comes due.
