Back in the early '80's, noteworthy Liberals like Pierre Elliott Trudeau and Jean Chretien were involved in the repatriation of our Constitution and the creation of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Since that time though, it seems progressives have become very selective and confused about what constitutes religious freedoms as demonstrated by their response to Harper's recent statement that Canada would continue to stand up for religious freedoms here and around the world.
