4:49Now PlayingDavid Menzies of TheRebel.Media reports that in trying to deflect attention from the latest OLG scandal, their spokesman's strategy was to lecture parents, telling them to refrain from giving lottery tickets as gifts to their children.
If this is a concern to them, why offer scratch tickets that appeal to a young demographic?
And since OLG enjoys a monopoly on lottery ticket gambling, why do they the need to resort to costly marketing campaigns to sell what only they can sell?
Ostensibly, the reason for having a government gaming industry has something to do with social responsibility but to be convincing, the first thing they should do is practice what they preach.
