Christopher Wilson of TheRebel.Media reports: At this time last year, there were on-going protests against Kinder-Morgan’s proposed Trans-Mountain pipeline which brought out all the anti-oilsands and anti-pipeline riff-raff.
They were joined by a less noisy but even more powerful bunch from among the political class, NDP types like Burnaby Mayor Derek Corrigan, who attempted to stop the pipeline project through the courts.
The good news is that the Supreme Court of Canada quashed the effort by the city of Burnaby challenging the jurisdictional authority of the National Energy Act.
The bad news is, in what certainly seems like a waste of taxpayer money, they’ve already filed an appeal.
