The Sheerness coal mine and the 700 megawatt power plant are on the chopping block because the NDP government is phasing out cheap reliable coal fired electrical generation. Sheerness employs about 200 people in a town of about 2500.
But Notley doesn’t care about coal towns, rural farming communities and small towns who rely on oil and gas because they don’t vote for her.
