What began as a hunger strike by petulant cabbies over Uber, ended as a three day, low-cal diet program.
The cabbies may not have doubled-down on KFC during their hunger strike, they did double-down on stupidity and recklessness by blocking traffic and creating gridlock, potentially endangering lives and certainly making a lot of people late for work.
If the point of this pathetic act of civil disobedience was to tick people off and hasten the cab industries own extinction, then mission accomplished.
Though I don’t feel a lot of sympathy for the cabbies, I’ve taken the time to offer some constructive criticism in my rant - a few ideas on how to stay relevant in the age of Uber which don’t include demanding government protection for your antiquated service.
