When the Harper government established the Office of Religious Freedom in 2013 to protect and promote religious freedom around the world and to speak out on behalf religious minorities abroad, it was not without controversy and now it looks like the Trudeau government will be doing away with it.
I speak with Garnett Genuis, Conservative MP for Sherwood Park - Fort Saskatchewan, about his recent trip to India where he met with the Dalai Lama to discuss the issue and Canada’s role in standing up for all victims of religious persecution, which includes even those who want the right NOT to believe.
