Holder......motor cycling won by Geoff Duke At the first mot or cycle race sponsored by rt the Daily Telegraph shots of riders & mo'bikes. The 10-lap Sidecar Event was won by P.V. Harris & G.Holder as passenger. 20-lap for "Red Rose C/T"...taking bend is Reg Armstrong No.26...among field was Rod Coleman, John Surtees, Winners time 81.5 7m.p.h.The Lord & Mrs Topham present cups.
COLEMAN, Rod (T.T. racer) At Aintree the first motor cycle race also present were Geof. Duke, J. Surtees, & many others. the LORD MAYOR of Liverpool & Mrs Topham who presented cups.
DUKE GEOFFREY (British Motor Cycle Ace) Winner of the "Red Rose C/T" at 81.57 m.p.h. at the Aintree motor cycle Race. Also present were Rod Cloweman J.Surtees, & others. winner's time 81.57 m.p.h. (No 12)
HARRIS P.V. (G.B. Mot or cyclist.) At the Telegraph mot or cycle race winner with G.Holder as passenger. Aintree
MOTOR CYCLING. The first motor-cycle race at Aintree.sponsored by the Telegraph 10 lap won by P.V.Harris & G.Holder as passenger 20 lap won by G.Duke (No. 12) time 81.57 m.p.h.
SURTEES. JOHN (G.B.Motor cyclist). At the first Motor Cycle race sponsored by Telegraph were also G. Duke, Rod Coleman, & others. The Lord Mayor of Liverpool & Mrs Topham presented prizes.
