Good CU pan jungle undergrowth. Screen filling shot of jungle shrubbery etc. Ditto. SV towards 3 bren carriers along slushy pathway in jungle to CU past camera. CUBV carrier down pathway. SCU Ghurka officer standing in carrier looking thru glasses. SV Ghurka officer in carrier gives sign and Ghurka soldiers jump out and run into cover bushes at side. SCU two Ghurka soldiers lying in grass aiming rifles slip pan SCU another two Ghurka soldiers ditto slip pan Ghurka soldiers advancing thru jungle - soldier runs towards leader - speaks - and leader gives sign to men to drop to ground. SV pan Ghurkas crouching in undergrowth with rifles - soldier giving instructions. SV two Ghurkas on the alert in undergrowth with guns. CU side view Ghurka type on the alert, crouching with gun. SV Ghurka troops crouching in undergrowth - get up - draw swords and move forward. LV pan Ghurkas lying in grass behind improvised protection with guns. LV Ghurkas running down incline and SV towards splashing thru stream. LV Ghurka towards thru jungle - stops gives sign with hand - two more Ghurkas run past him - crouch with rifles then first Ghurka runs forward and other two follow. LV Ghurkas down incline and stop in stream and start to take off their kit. SBV Ghurka with kit discarded scatter into undergrowth. LV two Ghurkas pushing way thru thick undergrowth. LV Ghurkas pushing forward thru jungle with two British officers. SV ditto. SV Ghurka type standing in jungle on the watch out for enemy action. Good FCU Ghurka type watching for enemy action. CU beetles, frogs, insects etc. in tin - hand with stick picks out spider. CU spiders and other insects in glass moving about. CU putting spiders and other insects into billycan one falls over side. CU Ghurka with improvised fire and two bamboo sticks over it down which insects to be cooked are pushed.

CU hand putting crablike insect down bamboo stock followed by water. CU pan five Ghurka soldiers eating cooked insects and spiders and looking as though they are enjoying them. SV British officer and F.O. Bovill sitting with four Ghurkas eating cooked insect food, and expressing satisfaction.
