2:02Jan Egeland, head of the Norwegian Refugee Council, described the airdrops of aid into Gaza as a "joke" and insufficient to avert famine. He called the starvation in Gaza "man-made by Israel" and said "every dead child" was on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Israel carried out an airdrop and announced a series of measures over the weekend to improve access for aid, including daily humanitarian pauses in three areas of Gaza and new safe corridors for convoys.
UN agencies said those moves are not yet sufficient to alleviate famine-like conditions facing Gazans.
