as posted by the channelGrowing up, Zionism was a deep part of my identity. I was raised to believe that if there was no Israel, Jews would not be safe in the world. But as I grew older, I began to see a different reality unfolding.
I witnessed the rise of the Israeli lobby exerting their influence on our politics and policy. I learned about the atrocities happening thousands of miles away in the name of Jewish people. I can't stay silent in the face of such injustice.
My atonement, now and in the future, is using my voice to fight for the freedom of all those oppressed, including Palestinians.
I'm running for Congress against Debbie Wasserman Schultz because we need leaders who will stand up to such injustice.
