In Today's EU, Prof. Wolff talks about the defeat of UK's Labour Party in the recent elections, explains the reasons behind it, and the similarities between Trump and Prime Minister Boris Johnson. Both politicians, "political outsiders," appealed to the frustration and dissatisfaction of the people, who faced with declining living standards, unemployment and mass inequality, voted for alternatives who promised to "save" capitalism from the lingering effects of the 2008 crash.
