Prof. Wolff argues that a new kind of capitalism is emerging from this recent crisis. Capitalism with forced labor is what’s growing in the US. Wolff responds to the latest news out of Louisiana. The city of New Orleans reacted to the recent strike by garbage collectors by getting inmates from a nearby prison to do the work. This move is similar to Trump's order to send meat packers back to work. Workers are being forced to go back to work, prisoners are being forced to do work with no recourse.
