as posted by the channelRichard Wolff is Professor of Economics Emeritus of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst where he taught for over 30 years. In the years prior to teaching at UMass, he taught economics at Yale University and the City College of the City University of New York. He is currently a Visiting Professor in the Graduate Program of International Affairs of the New School University in New York City.
Professor Wolff is also the author of multiple books on the political economy, including his most recent, "The Sickness is the System: When Capitalism Fails to Save us from Pandemics or Itself". Richard also hosts a regular podcast entitled Economic Update, focused on describing “the economic dimensions of our lives.”
In our opinion as organizers of this series, Professor Richard Wolff is perhaps the single best communicator of the single most important idea in economics: that our economic system is fundamentally undemocratic.
