as posted by the channel

Capitalism is structured around individual enterprises and their controlling employers and controlled employees. The relationship among these enterprises is competition. Global capitalism has repeatedly brought competing enterprises and thereby nations into conflicts and wars. Mobilizing national populations to support the conflicts and wars required grand narratives - ideologies - of good struggling against evil. The UK and Germany demonized each other in WW1; it was democracy vs fascism in WW2; capitalism/democracy vs socialism/communism in The Cold War; anti-terrorism after the Cold War; and it is now democracy against Putin's autocracy in Russia. The particular narrative/ideology changed, but the underlying issue - capitalist competition - did not.
