Did you know Rob Potylo had an encore on The Gong Show!????

Probably not if you didn't see it on TV... But here it is!!!!

The producers loved how much Rob moved the crowd during his "Hot Dogs And Applesauce" song, and how he embodied the spirit of the original show. they decided to let him back out onstage to sing with the gang again!!! :)

From Rob....

After my performance A producer told me they wanted me back onstage!! I couldn't believe it :)!!! They gave me a handheld,

and asked if I knew the ole' classic of a tune "Shaving Cream" which they did every episode as a 7th inning stretch type sing-a-long. Of course I knew the song, having listened to it way too much on the Dr. Demento radio show when I was a kid!! They had me sing with the amazingly talented Albert!!

They repositioned my guitar on my back with the producer saying "hang it on his back like Johnny Cash"... Awww a freaky Johnny Cash...Swoon.

And going back out onstage was a dream!!! Really didn't wanna leave in the first place. I love love love The Gong Show!!

This was the coolest part tho....

I had spotted my good friend Comedian Matt Devlin in the audience earlier (Like while I was performing) and I wanted to run up to him and sing with him.... Which I did..Cause he is so awesome..I mean that man drove me to the airport last August when I left LA for a bit, then he picked me up in february when I came back, and also let stay at his crib in Venice for a month on his magical couch... I wanted to have a Ferris Bueller's Day Off moment with him :)

It was my favorite moment of the show....When they showed us on TV :)

Plus getting to dance with Tommy Maitland at the end of this clip... Swoon...

And also the way Alison Brie smiles at the end of this clip....

Awwww maybe she was finally entertained ;)

I have a deep love for what the Gong Show means for freaks, and outcasts... This country needs exciting crazy manic art again!!

It was a war to get to be me on Network TV....

I had gotten cut from the premiere episode ten minutes before I was to perform...I was all ready backstage... Then I was on standby for another episode where I was in my outfit all day at the studio ready to jump in..but never did... The episode they ended up putting me on I get gonged... But I fought back... I loved the history of the show way too much to go out like a chump.

What I'm saying is don't give up! Especially if you're a freak or an outcast! The world needs your art, magic, eccentricity more than ever!

This is the time to let that freak flag fly, be brave, and make fabulous art to help others who are scared, and off the beaten path. Let them know they are not alone! I've been bullied, abused..... But!!!! LMAO ;)

I can't thank enough the producers, staff, and talent on the show. They were a million dollars, and I love them dearly. Thanks for all the support the past couple of days. These were some of the greatest days of my life, and I'm glad the camera captured it. Keep dreaming, keep scheming :)
