I’m deeply disturbed by the growing appetite for violence on both sides at protests these days.
I refuse to endorse striking anyone simply because they hold a different opinion or value system. That kind of behavior only hands the rich, bloated oligarchs the chaos and division they crave for a civil war. It also arms the other side with ready-made justification and puts our own activists in the crosshairs of a brutal “eye for an eye” cycle.
If you’re going to keep cheering this on from behind keyboards with memes and online celebrations, don’t expect me to feel safe showing up to protest in your cities. Please denounce the mindless menace of violence.
