1:27Now PlayingThe NCAA always talks about how it cares about the student athlete, but the reality is they're largely hypocrites. Here's an example. Bruce Pearl is the coach of the University of Tennessee men's basketball team. He admitted to lying and misleading investigators who were looking into the program. So, what did they do? Well, the University cut his salary, but he kept his job. But last year, Dez Bryant, a wide receiver for Oklahoma State, admitted to lying to the NCAA about a meeting with Deion Sanders. What did they do? They ban him for the entire season.
Isn't that amazing? A coach lies, but keeps his job and keeps on coaching that year. A player lies, and they say, "You can't play for the rest of the season."
