15:59Now PlayingThere is a referendum on the ballot in Florida this year to restore the voting rights of convicted felons after they finish their sentence, including parole or probation.
These Jim Crow-era laws, keep millions of African Americans from voting. It's all part of a pattern of mass incarceration, stripped voting rights and straight-up voter suppression. Florida voters have a chance to right this wrong by voting. And registration in Florida ends on October 9th.
