2:09Now PlayingIn Tennessee, the Black Voter Project submitted about 36,000 voter registration forms to the Shelby County Election Commission during a push to register voters of color.
The Associated Press reported that the commission categorized half the forms as invalid and won't tell the Tennessee Black Voter Project what is wrong with the registrations.
In response, the Black Voter Project filed suit seeking a court order to release the voting records being withheld by the Elections Commission.
