0:58Now PlayingEarlier this week that a federal judge would issue an order to protect the 53,000 voter registrations in Georgia that had been put on hold using the "exact match" rule. The vast majority of those 53,000 were Black.
The judge issued the order forcing officials to notify people their registrations were on hold and giving them an opportunity to appeal the rejection. But Brian Kemp, the Georgia official in charge of voting, and also the GOP candidate for Governor against Stacey Abrams, is fighting back. He's asked for a delay in following the order so he can appeal the decision to the US Circuit Court of Appeals.
