Some are legal permanent residents, some are here on work visas and some are here as refugees. Many of these immigrants can be deported if the Trump administration decides to send them back to where they came from.
There are thousands of Liberians here as the result of a brutal civil war that killed 250,000 people between 1989 and 2003. They are at risk of being deported starting at the end of the month.
Maryum Jordan, Associate Counsel at the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law spoke to Roland during Thursday's edition of #RolandMartinUnfiltered about the threat Black immigrants are facing from the expiration of their Deferred Enforced Departure status.
