6:16Now PlayingEveryday 100 Americans are killed by guns. Hundreds more are shot and injured. One-third of gun deaths are murders and Black people represent the majority of murder victims.
In fact, Black people are 10 times more likely than whites to be killed with a gun. The government can't or won't help us, so what can we do to decrease the numbers of Black people dying as a result of gun violence?
The Circle of Brotherhood is an organization of primarily Black men from all walks of life who formed an organization to address the issue. Thursday marked the 19th day that some of these men have been on a hunger strike to draw attention to the problem of gun violence in black communities.
Lyle Muhammad, the Executive Director of the Circle of Brotherhood spoke with #RolandMartinUnfiltered guest host Monique Pressley about their hunger strike and taking a stand against gun violence to save Black lives.
