7:25Now PlayingRoland Martin spoke with Russlynn Ali, CEO & Co-Founder XQ America about how XQ's re-imagining high school initiative is progressing during their Something In The Water Pop-Up Magazine event in Virginia Beach.
Ali shared the students that she has encountered are "hungry to have a voice in how to make their schools work better for them, they are not satisfied with the education they are getting, they are gear to make a difference and be the voice for change."
She also encouraged parents who have school age children to get involved with their local school board because parents are the most important stake holder in their children's school.
