Michael Schultz, The Director Of 'Cooley High' & 'Car Wash' Reflects On The Life of John Singleton

Roland Martin spoke with director Michael Schultz about the live and legacy of the John Singleton who passed away on Monday after suffering a stroke.

Schultz's "Cooley High" is the film that inspired Singleton to become a filmmaker.

Schultz, a member of the Black Filmmakers Hall of Fame directed the quintessential Black film classics, "Cooley High" and "Car Wash" along with "Greased Lightning," "Bustin' Loose," "Krush Groove," "The Last Dragon," "Livin Large" and "Disorderlies."
