Martavious Banks, Who Was Shot By Cops Indicted; Officers Who Clearly Broke The Law Won't Be Charged

The cops involved in the shooting of Martavious Banks have been cleared of criminal charges, despite having turned off their body cameras during the altercation with Banks.

The officers defied MPD policies as well as protocols several times in their stop and pursuit of Banks

In statement, Shelby County District Attorney General Amy Weirich said, "There is no evidence of any criminal conduct on the part of these officers."

However, Banks has been indicted on charges tied to that pursuit that led up to him being shot multiple times by Memphis Police.
