Trotwood Wrecked By Tornadoes, Is The Predominantly Black Town Receiving The Same Support As Others?

Devastating tornadoes hit the city of Dayton and surrounding areas last week. Estimates say that 13 tornadoes touched down leaving a trail of destruction that also ran through Trotwood, Ohio.

The city of Trotwood suffered extensive damage. The mid-western town is home to about 26,000 residents, of which 65% to 85% are African American. They have not received the same kind of response that usually goes to white disaster areas.

Mary McDonald, the Mayor of Trotwood spoke with Roland Martin during Monday's edition of #RolandMartinUnfiltered to discuss recovery efforts in her town.
