A recent Quinnipiac poll showed that 51 percent of voters say they think Trump is a racist. Forty-five percent say they do not think so, and 5 percent don't know.
The opinions follow party lines where 91 percent of Republicans say they do not think Trump is racist; only 8 percent say they do. 86 percent of Democrats say he is racist, and 9 percent do not. Among independent voters, 56 percent say Trump is racist compared with 38 percent who do not.
