Tens Of Thousands Of Marijuana Convictions To Be Vacated In Chicago Before Cannabis Becomes Legal

Possession of an ounce or less of marijuana will be legal in Illinois starting in January. The law, which was signed in June, also recognizes that for decades people caught with small amounts of pot received stiff fines, possible jail time and criminal convictions.

Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx spoke with Roland Martin about Chicago's move to vacate thousands of marijuana possession convictions before cannabis becomes legal.
