Crisis In Sudan: New Wave Of Violence Displaces Millions; Millions More Lack Basic Survival Needs

After forcing out President Omar al-Bashir, who ruled Sudan for 30 years, thousands of pro-democracy protesters are still out on the streets.

The humanitarian crisis triggered by the legacy of civil war and chronic underdevelopment continues to intensify in South Sudan and a new wave of violence has left at least four million people displaced from their homes and five million that lack basic survival necessities like food, water, and shelter.

Bishop Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala, a humanitarian, peacekeeper, and church leader from South Sudan spoke with Roland Martin about the ongoing crisis in Sudan.
