Black Home Ownership Drops To Lowest Point In More Than 50 Yrs. Here's How Can We Reverse The Trend

The Black home ownership rate has plummeted to 40.6% ... the lowest percentage in more

than 50 years.

In comparison, the home ownership rate for Non-Hispanic Whites, reported by the U.S. Census Bureau at 73.1%, represents more than a 30-percentage point difference and reflects the economic mountain Black Americans have to climb to gain parity in achieving the American Dream.

Roland spoke with the National Association of Real Estate Brokers' newly elected President Donnell Williams about why the disparity in home ownership exists and what needs to be done to reverse this alarming trend.
