2020 Dem Presidential Hopefuls Vie For Black Votes In SC As Harris & Booker Languish In The Polls

Diverse candidates from all over the country are battling to represent the Democratic party in the 2020 Presidential election, but early contests in Iowa, New Hampshire, and Nevada and lack the diversity of the rest of the party.

South Carolina on the other hand has a large Black electorate, but none of the African American Democratic presidential candidates are polling very well in the state.

South Carolina serves as the final state in the early contests before Super Tuesday and the African American vote is critically important in winning the state.

AP Political Reporter, Meg Kinnard spoke with Roland Martin about the state of the race in South Carolina and the battle for Black votes during Monday's edition of #RolandMartinUnfiltered.
