Rampant Housing Discrimination & Redlining Exposed In Long Island, NY

In a recent investigation into discrimination by real estate agents on Long Island, Newsday found evidence of widespread separate and unequal treatment of minority potential home buyers and minority communities. 240 hours of secretly recorded meetings found that Asians were discriminated against 19% of the time, Latinos 39% of the time and African Americans 49% of the time.

Keith Herbert, an Investigative Reporter for Newsday who worked on the eye opening report spoke with Roland Martin during Tuesday’s edition of #RolandMartinUnfiltered about housing discrimination in New York City’s Long Island.
