YouTube Description
as posted by the channelOn Friday, the House passed a bill that will restore a provision of the Voting Rights Act that would require certain jurisdictions to obtain preclearance from the federal government before implementing any changes to voting practices.
The bill passed 228-187 and was spearheaded by Congresswoman Terri Sewell of Alabama.
Now that the bill has passed the House it moves on to the Senate. Will Mitch McConnell bring the bill up for a vote or will it languish in the Senate because Republicans are hellbent on keeping certain demographics of Americans from voting?
