The school-to-prison pipeline is a disturbing national trend where children are funneled out of public schools and into juvenile and criminal justice systems.
Many of these children have learning disabilities or histories of poverty, abuse, or neglect. They are also disproportionately Black.
PG County State's Attorney Aisha Braveboy says she has a plan to end the school to prison pipeline as well as reform the justice system and the impact it has on young people in the area.
