Monika Johnson-Hostler Looks To Oust GOP Rep. George Holding In NC, Flip 2nd District Seat Blue

Republican Rep. George Holding, the North Carolina congressional incumbent has drawn several Democratic challengers for his 2020 re-election bid. Holding defeated Democrat Linda Coleman by less than six percentage points in 2018 despite it being a wave election for Democrats, who gained 40 seats and took control of the House of Representatives.

Now Holding faces 3 challengers, including Monika Johnson-Hostler, a school board member and executive director of the NC Coalition Against Sexual Assault. She has spent the last 20 years advocating for thousands of women and children.
