6:58Now PlayingAccording to a recent survey from the Associated Press Center for Public Affairs research, there appear to be some cracks in Donald Trump's Evangelical base.
In a recent op-ed from Christianity Today written by the publication's former editor in chief a little more than two months ago called for Trump's removal in the wake of the Ukraine scandal.
Roland Martin and Jack Jenkins, National Reporter for the Religion News Service spoke with MSNBC's Ali Velshi about Trump's appeal to Evangelicals despite all of his glaring shortcomings, immoral behavior and discriminatory policies and why 80 percent of them still support him.
Roland told Velshi white conservative Evangelicals are "Christian frauds".
The host and managing editor of #RolandMartinUnfiltered said, " If you look at the Moral Majority from Jerry Falwell and the Pat Robertson's of the world, all we heard from them for since the 19, late 70s and 80s -- character values, morals and all those things. Yet what they did is, they embrace Donald Trump, who is immoral, has no values has no principles, and frankly, is a fake Christian."
