In hopes to improve healthcare and address health disparities and inequalities in Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser announces a monumental agreement with Howard University.

Through a $225 million tax abatement given by the city, Howard University in partnership with Adventist HealthCare will develop a new $450 million, 225-bed, level 1 trauma and academic teaching hospital on the existing campus, with plans to be complete in 2026.
