Crying Shame: Gen. Honoré Rips Trump For Bible-Walk Photo-Op, Threat To Use Military On Protesters

In a move that probably put his job in jeopardy, Defense Secretary Mark Esper publicly disagreed with Donald Trump threatening to use of the 1807 Insurrection Act to end the George Floyd protests. He also talked about the use of tear gas and pepper spray to clear the way for Trump's photo op in front of St. John's Episcopal Church before his Bible-walk church photo-op.

Ret. Lt. Gen. Russel Honore spoke with Roland Martin about the outrageous scene of peaceful protesters being forcefully moved from Lafayette Square before Trump's photo-op.

Honore told Martin, "We should never tell our police or our soldiers to shoot our own citizens."

"That should never come out of the mouths of any politicians, Honore said. He added, "That is the beginning of the end ..."
